Maryam Barzanouni
Practicing Kinesiologist
Maryam graduated with a Master’s degree in physical education and boasts over 13 years of experience as a physical educator.
In 2009, she embarked on her Ph.D. journey in Sport Psychology in Malaysia. Subsequently, she attained certification as a kinesiologist and became a member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) in 2018.
Throughout her two decades of experience as a physical educator, she has adeptly taught various subjects, including Motor Learning, First Aid, Sports Nutrition, Posture alignment, and weight loss. Her expertise lies in Active Health and Fitness, Injury Rehabilitation, and Exercise Therapy. Additionally, she has received specialized training in soft tissue release, kinesiology taping, and whiplash management. Maryam possesses robust supervisory skills and adopts a hands-on mentoring leadership style.
Maryam firmly believes that achieving physical and mental wellness stems from maintaining balance across all aspects of life. She advocates for a proactive “in charge” approach, empowering individuals to make necessary lifestyle changes for themselves.
